Who
are our guides?
Jerry
Farlee and his sons Jerry K., Leon, Jason and Luke. They
are members of the Cheyenne River Tribe. Together
they
operate the 36,000 acre spread of land known as the Cheyenne River
Ranch near Eagle Butte, South Dakota, on the Cheyenne River Indian
Reservation. Your guides are dedicated to giving you the
excursion you've always dreamed of, while providing for your safety and
comfort.
Can you please describe the lodging?
We provide a bunkhouse that will sleep up to six people, but we can
make accommodations for larger groups. We also have a camper
that sleeps five. The camper can be placed farther out on the
ranch for those who wish to base their visit remotely and cook for
themselves. We will also set up a tipi camp with porta-potty
for those groups who wish to be closer to nature.
What about meals?
Jerry Farlee's wife Rita
and daughter Lizette are proud to provide you with ample home cooked
meals. A typical breakfast would be eggs, pancakes, ham or
sausage, toast, coffee and juice. Lunch is usually
sandwiches, fruit, a snack and beverage. Dinners are steaks,
roasts, vegetables, potatoes, desserts and beverages. You
will not leave our table hungry! Meals can be tailored to
suit your palate or personal needs, so if you have special requirements
please let us know when you book your stay.
(Our Indian Tacos are famous!)
